Spanish company Gas Natural Fenosa has showan an interest in taking part in 16 energy tenders to be held in Mexico.

Spanish newspaper El Economista said the firm’s chief executive officer, Rafael Villaseca (pictured), has travelled to Mexico to hold a meeting with the director of the nation’s energy watchdog, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).  

The energy reform approved by the Mexican government opens important business opportunities for foreign companies, experts have said.

Among the projects Gas Natural Fenosa is interested in are two gas pipelines, two natural gas branches and three combined-cycle power plants.
