Eskom has said that it will continue with the Kudu gas development and power project providing that differences between the major partners are resolved. The utility is concerned that it is too early to implement the 750 MW project as there is no market for the power. Nampower, Shell and Eskom are renegotiating a memorandum of understanding originally signed in 1997 which lapsed earlier this year.
