21 October 2002 ? The first day of the POWER-GEN Middle East Conference & Exhibition in Abu Dhabi on Monday was the setting for the signing of three agreements between Danway, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emirates Holdings, and Schneider Electric.
Three agreements were signed by Mr Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of Danway and Mr Yan Golaz, Managing Director of Gulf Countries for Schneider Electric and covered the manufacture of medium voltage switchgear, adaption of ring main units and motor control centres for the oil and gas sector using Schneider Electric components and know-how.
In a statement the two companies said they believed that the future will be for the players bringing to the market, solutions with greater local content maintaining high level quality standards required by the customers previously found only in imported solutions. In addition to greater flexibility and reactivity, this will give customers a better and faster service.
