8 August 2002 – American Software announced Wednesday that the Saudi Electricity Company Southern Region Branch has licensed and will implement American Software’s mainframe and web-based ERP systems along with Logility, Inc.’s Supply Chain Planning client server products.
This is the fourth Saudi Electricity Company Region to license solutions from American Software.
“The combination of the Logility Supply Chain Planning client-server products, the American Software mainframe server-based ERP applications and the American Software web-based products will enable the Southern Region Branch to achieve the same goals as the other Regions through the deployment of these state-of-the art solutions,” said Jeff Coombs, executive vice president and chief operating officer of American Software.
“Our ability to provide a team of implementation consultants on site in Abha, Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of the utility industry materials management requirements was key to being selected by the Saudi Electricity Company. This, and our continuing success at the other Saudi Electricity Company Regions, has validated our commitment to both the success of our Customers wherever in the world they may be, and the rapid deployment and implementation of these systems,” said Coombs.
