Venezuela is set to invest around $9m on an energy maintenance unit with a capacity of 85 MW, according to reports.
“We have been carrying out maintenance work on several plants, including TZ10. The unit should be fully functioning by June,” said the minister of energy, Jesse Chacón.
“There are a total of 200 MW that are generated from Termozulia and these works we are carrying out in TZ10 are accounted for in the preventive plan executed by the government”, he said.
It is expected the construction will help make up the 1600 MW deficit generated as a result of an increase in energy demands.
