The Peruvian public institution supervising investments in energy and mining has approved 13 renewable power projects with a combined capacity of 430 MW and an expected generation of 1.7 TWh/year.

The entity received 111 bids and approved two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 185 MW, three wind projects with a combined capacity of 162 MW, six hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 80 MW, and two small biomass and waste projects (4 MW).

The winning projects will be located in the Ancash, Cajamarca, Ica, Lima, Moquegua and San Martin departments.

Commercial operation is expected in December 2018.
