Intergen Aztec Energy of the USA is to build and operate a 495 MW power plant in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato. The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) said that the company offered the lowest generating price in the bidding process for the El Sauz project. The CFE also said that it has opened bids for Tuxpan II, a project to increase capacity of the existing Tuxpan plant by 450 MW.
