Empresa de Energia del Pacifico (Epsa), a power utility based in Colombia, has reportedly terminated a 140 MW supply contract with Termovalle, a thermoelectric power producer.

According to Epsa, it has sufficient power generation capacity to fulfill its contractual obligations without having to incur in higher fuel costs from third-party assets, such as the Termovalle power plant.

The cancellation of the contract, which was due to expire in 2020, is not expected to have a significant impact on Epsa’s net profit and cash flow this year.
