Colombian state-run energy group Empresa de Energia de Bogota (EEB) will compete in local government tenders for the construction and operation of two 230 kV power substations and their associated power lines, reports ADPnews Latin America.

The two projects include the Quimbo and Alferez substations, a 189 km power transmission line between the two substations and a 62 km link from Quimbo to the existing substation at Altamira.

The Quimbo substation will be built in Huila department, while the Alferez substation will be located south of the city of Santiago de Cali.
