Chase Manhattan partners for waste energy in Argentina

Chase Manhattan Bank, Loma Negra of Argentina and U.S.-based Nortru have formed a joint-venture company, Reycomb, to create a regulated industrial waste-to-energy facility in Argentina. Reycomb was formed through a combined (US)$9 million equity investment by the three partners. Reycomb will convert organic industrial waste into clean-burning, high-Btu fuel for cement producers as a substitute for more costly fossil fuels.
