Capacity demand in Argentina in November hit 21 GW, a 7.6 per cent increase on the same month 12 months ago, BNAmericas reports, citing Cammesa, the wholesale power market operator.

The reason behind the capacity demand spike is thought to be the high temperatures that were recorded that month.

The November figure represents an increase of 17.7 per cent compared to October.

The country’s maximum capacity demand of 21.9 GW was recorded this February.
