Agreements signed for Chilean project

The Republic of Chile, US-based CMS Energy Corp. and Empresa Nacional de Electricidad S.A., Chile, have signed agreements for a (US)$900 million integrated energy project to be built in northern Chile. The Atacama Project includes a $400 million, 925 km natural gas pipeline from the gas-producing fields of northern Argentina to Mejillones, Chile, a 600 MW gas-fueled power plant and a (US)$64 million desalinization plant, both located in Mejillones.
