OCT. 27, 2000 (M2 Communications)—Sweden will increase its humanitarian aid to Yugoslavia by a further SEK25m, the Swedish minister for development and co-operation Maj-Inger Klingvall has said.

According to Dow Jones, an additional SEK5m will also be paid to Yugoslavia via the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The further aid means that Sweden will contribute a total of SEK110m to Yugoslavia this year.

The funds have apparently been allocated principally for repairs of electricity power plants before winter sets in.
