24seven, the network management services company set up by TXU and London Electricity, yesterday launched its new IT system to become the first in the UK utility industry to implement the SAP Work Management system.

24seven selected Logica, working with SAP as its chosen partner, to handle the project which, was completed in ten months. The system enables 24seven to address the challenges of delivering improved service levels whilst reducing the cost of managing and maintaining assets.

“Logica’s ability to deliver this mission-critical project in record time speeds our time-to-market providing us with a competitive advantage,” says Andy Hooper, IT director, 24seven. “We now have a fully-functional system that our users are trained in and one which supports our new business model and unique approach to the provision of utility services.”
