NCC to build hydropower plant in Norway

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct 12, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) à‚– NCC has been commissioned by Statkraft SF to build the Nya Bj0lvo power plant in Kvam, Hardanger.

The total order value is about SEK 225 million.

As a result of this order, which will also impose stringent demands on our environmental capacity, we can now continue to develop our specialist know-how,” Arnfinn Hardersen continues.

Statkraft SF, Norway’s leading producer of electrical power, has annual revenues of approximately NOK 6 billion. Work on the new hydropower plant will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion during 2003. On an annual basis, a total of 150 persons will be employed in the project, which will be undertaken in the form of an internal consortium of NCC’s Norwegian civil engineering operations and NCC Tunneling A/S.
