Macawber receives repeat order from Polish station

The successful installation of a fully automated pneumatic ash handling system at the Elektrownia Kozienice power station in Poland has led to a repeat order for the Macawber division of Doncaster, UK-based Clyde Pneumatic Conveying Ltd.

The first system was installed in 1993 on Unit 4, one of eight 200-MW coal-burning boilers at the station. Performance evaluation showed low energy costs and reduced environmental problems from the transfer of flyash. The latest order will be installed on Unit 3 to transfer ash from the electrostatic precipitator to an existing bulk silo.
