Global Companies to market A-55 Clean Fuels in Northeast U.S.

WALTHAM, MA, Sept. 19, 2000à‚–Petroleum distributor Global Companies LLC will offer cleaner burning emulsified fuels to industrial and commercial consumers of fuel oil in six northeastern states starting this fall.

“A-55 Clean Fuels,” developed by Clean Fuels Technology Inc. of Reno, Nevada, initially will be sold as a boiler cleaning fuel containing additives and micronized water to lower plant maintenance costs and particulate emissions. A-55 Clean Fuels designed for emissions control will also be offered to industrial and commercial plants to reduce smog producing oxides of nitrogen (NOx).

Global Companies has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute A-55 Clean Fuels to commercial/industrial consumers of No. 6 fuel oil in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Clean Fuels Technology will provide additives and the blending process necessary for emulsifying No. 6 fuel oil. A-55 Clean Fuels will be delivered by truck to commercial and industrial customers and power plants.
