European Commission RTD program
The European Commission has announced a 1995 call for proposals for the Non-Nuclear Energy Research, Technological Develop-ment and Demonstration Program. Two types of proposals will be considered: demonstrations and other initiatives.
Demonstration proposals must come from a consortium of at least two non-affiliated firms from different member states or from one member state and one associated state. Demonstration projects designed to advance or implement innovative techniques, processes or products with technical viability and economic advantages must be submitted by March 24, 1995. Selected projects may receive funding of up to 40 percent of eligible costs.
The second type of initiative may include development and implementation of an energy strategy, dissemination of technology or technological stimulation for small and medium-sized firms. These proposals must also come from consortiums and will be considered for 50 percent to 100 percent financing. The proposal call is open until Dec. 17, 1997, but a first decision will be made in mid-1995. Information is available from the European Commission at 200 rue de la Loi, B-1049, Brussels, Belgium.
