UNITED KINGDOM, Oct. 5, 2000 (Richmond Times-Dispatch)à‚–Dominion, the Richmond-based parent of Dominion Virginia Power, said that it has completed the sale of its 80 percent interest in the Corby Power Station in the United Kingdom.

PowerGen Ltd., a U.K. company, said in June that it would pay Dominion roughly $80 million for its share of Corby Power Ltd., owner of a 350-megawatt natural-gas-fired power plant about 90 miles north of London.

Dominion expects to raise more than $1.5 billion with the sale of Corby and other assets.
