Nov. 06, 2000 (Prague Business Journal)—Regional electricity distributor Démász Rt, a subsidiary of Electricite de France, opened a Ft 996 million substation in its plant in Kecskemét, central Hungary on Friday.

The investment was necessary due to growing electricity demand from foreign investors settling in the local industrial park, said Démász.

The transformer was supplied by SGB of Austria, switchboard panels came from Alstrom, and control systems were delivered by Protekta Kft and Infoware Kft, both Hungarian-owned. (Econews)
