Bucharest’s heating system could receive major financings through the European Union’s Large Infrastructure OperationaRomanian flagl Programme (LIOP).

In total, some 19 projects in the local energy sector may be allocated EUR494.3m within this programme, according to data from the European Funds Ministry, reports local Economica.net with the Romanian capital’s heat network set to receive around EUR176m.

The heating systems in eight other cities will be able to access total financings worth EUR197.8m.
