Boyce, Kema join forces to market total power plant condition monitoring system

Boyce Engineering International of Houston, Texas, USA, and Kema of Arnhem, the Netherlands, are working together under a signed agreement to market a condition monitoring system for electric power stations and cogeneration plant systems fired with fossil fuels.

The Boyce-Kema system is aimed at electric power companies and large industrial companies cogenerating heat and power for production processes.

The system can monitor both mechanical and thermodynamic properties simultaneously through advanced data acquisition systems and intelligence-based software. The system collects data to predict machine properties and performance, enhance efficiency, reduce power loss, and support maintenance planning.
