Three main approaches in the plan put a focus on exploring new investments, managing efficiency and completing construction of new power plants as planned, including a number of CHP developments.
At present, there are six projects under construction, including the 132 MW Nava Nakorn Cogeneration power plant in which Ratch has a 40% equity holding. Operations are due in 2016, with 80% of construction complete. The 100-MW Berkprai Cogeneration power plant with a 35% Ratch equity holding is currently conducting environment impact assessment study. Meanwhile, the 9.9 MW Songkhla Biomass power plant recently began operations.
Rum Herabat, Ratch CEO, reportedly said that the company planned to invest around $1 billion in power plants in Indonesia, Laos and China.
