NOV 6, 2000 (M2 Communications)—The Norwegian state-owned company Statkraft has signed a letter of intent regarding the construction of a hydropower plant in Indonesia.

The Kerinci Hydropower Project in the province of Jambi on Sumatra will have a yearly production of some 1,450GWh.

The project is undertaken in co-operation with the Indonesian state-owned company PLN and the local authorities.
