PowerGen plc has secured significant interests in two independent power projects planned in

PowerGen plc has secured significant interests in two independent power projects planned in Indonesia and Thailand. The projects will have a total capacity of 1,850 MW. PowerGen has also picked up a 40 percent interest in the 450 MW, coal-fired Serang power plant in West Java. As part of a consortium, BLCP Power Ltd., PowerGen has a 30 percent share in the 1,400 MW Map Ta Phut coal-fired power station in Thailand.
