Kelvin Bray has been appointed GEC Alsthom`s Power Generation Division managing director, which has been set up by merging the activities of the electromechanical, gas turbine and diesel, and boilers and environmental systems divisions.
Rolls-Royce Industrial Power Group has appointed new managing directors at two of its major trading companies. Michael Boden is managing director of Parsons Power Generation Systems Ltd. in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He previously served as managing director of International Combustion Ltd. in Derby, England. Brian Roulston replaces Boden at International Combustion. He previously served as operations director for the same company.
C.K. Fung has been named manager of technical services for the new Solidstate Controls Inc. Asian/Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. Doug McCann is director of marketing, and Horatio Nelson is regional manager, located in Taipei.
Foxboro Co. has announced several organizational shifts, including the promotion of Donald N. Sorterup from vice president to president of international operations. Tony Lee is general manager and managing director of Asia/Pacific operations. Christopher Fink has been promoted to vice president of Asia/Pacific sales and Robert McInnis is power industry sales manager for the region. Ernest DeBellis has been moved to general manager of the Foxboro joint-venture company Shanghai-Foxboro Ltd. Robert Babecki has been transferred to the Shanghai office and a sales consultant. Ian Kemmis, former president of Quantum Pty Ltd. in Australia, will remain as managing director of the newly formed Foxboro-Quantum Pty Ltd.
Thomas E. Kalin was appointed managing director and chief executive of Black & Veatch Power Asia, and Jurg Gassmann, a member of Black & Veatch International`s commercial group, has been named director of operations.
