March 26, 2001—KEMA Consulting, in association with PRO-EN, a local subcontractor, was chosen by the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of Thailand to provide consulting services associated with the second phase, implementation and construction supervision, of the PEA Distribution Dispatching Center.

The KEMA Consulting Team is providing overall project management and supervising all aspects of the project as it evolves. This project includes construction of dispatching centers, and installation of distribution management systems, substation and feeder remote terminal units and interfaces, and extensive communication systems.

Since the project’s inception in 1996, KEMA Consulting has taken an active role in the PEA Distribution Dispatching Center project. KEMA Consulting was selected through competitive bidding from a short list of leading international firms for the first phase that was completed in early 2000.
