Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Toshimitsu Motegi says his government will provide its top thermal power engineers to the Ukraine in order to help boost the country’s energy security.

“I believe Japan‘s sophisticated technology for coal-fired thermal power will contribute to enhancing energy security in Ukraine,” Motegi announced at the Group of Seven nations or G7 Summit in Brussels.

Japan’s plan comes after leaders of the Group of Seven nations warned against Moscow’s use of energy supplies as a means of wielding political power.
