HCl emissions analyzer celebrates milestone
Air Instruments and Measurements Inc., Baldwin Park, Calif., USA, announced shipping of its 100th in-situ Model E-6000 HCl analyzer. The system is being used primarily in Europe and Asia for on-line, real-time closed loop control and compliance monitoring of flue gas HCl emission levels.
These emissions are generated primarily in waste incinerators where the waste has a substantial plastic content, such as municipal or hospital waste.
HCl is highly chemically reactive and also readily absorbs onto the surfaces of materials it comes in contact with. The in-situ non-sampling system eliminates sample handling problems.
The system has passed European and Asian compliance tests at ranges down to 25 mg/m3.
