Georgia will start the export of electricity to Turkey and Europe using a new power line in May 2012, Georgian Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Alexander Khetaguri has announced.
The 400-KW power line will connect Borchkha and Akhaltsikhe.
The new power line will be part of the electric project of the Black Sea.
The $387m project involves construction of 500-KW and 400-KW power lines. A 700-MW transformer of constant current will allow exports of electricity.
