Chinese refinery adding power site

Foster Wheeler has been awarded a (US)$23.7 million contract for two circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers as part of a refinery expansion in China. The CFBs will burn high-sulfur petroleum coke to power two 25 MWe steam turbine generators, producing electricity and process steam for the refinery. The plant will be sited at the Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company Ltd. complex outside Ningbo. It is being designed by China?s Hangzhou Electric Power Design Institute.
