Korea’s Doosan looks for $3.8bn in orders

Doosan Heavy Industries (formerly known as Hanjung or Korea Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd.) said yesterday that it is targeting 5.1 tn won ($3.8bn) in order receipts (41 per cent increase from last year), 2.95 tn won in sales (20 per cent rise) and 212.2 bn won in operating profits (244 per cent rise) this year, reports the Korea Herald.

Figures released today by South Korea's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy show a jump in export sales of power plant and equipment with 40 per cent of these exports going to the Middle East.
