Baltic link breaks records

ABB is laying a 150-mile high-voltage dc transmission link under the Baltic sea. The cable, rated at 600 MW capacity with 450-kV dc, will run from Kruseberg, Sweden, to Herrenwyk, Germany. The project will set new world records for both length and capacity.

CMS, ABB partner in private expansion of Moroccan plant

The Moroccan government has selected a consortium of CMS Generation and ABB Energy Ventures to negotiate a definitive agreement for the privatization and expansion of the Jorf Lasfar power plant, located southwest of Casablanca in Morocco.
