E.ON sets up e-mobility unit

E.ON has set up a new e-mobility unit with the aim of taking a leading role in developing and expanding Europe’s charging infrastructure.

The company says it will “secure attractive locations for charging stations where it can install and operate innovative charging technology”

E.On board member Karsten Wildberger said: “We firmly believe in the future of e-mobility and the related potential for growth. By virtue of our core strengths and experiences we are in an excellent position to succeed in the growing field of e-mobility. We aim to making e-mobility as convenient as possible for our customers.”

E.ON is already highly active in e-mobility. In Denmark, it operates around 2500 charging points and in October it started setting up charging networks in the UK and Sweden.
