Alstom building

Alstom has won a contract from RheinEnergie to supply a 560 MVA, 410/21kV transformer for the combined-cycle heat and power plant (CHP) in Niehl, Germany.

The transformer will be manufactured in the nearby Mönchengladbach plant and is estimated to be delivered mid-2015.
Alstom said that the plant will to generate 453 MW of electricity and approximately 265 MW of heat by means of a combined heat and power system, this can supply up to one million households with power and about 50,000 households with heating.
