Vestas wins turbine order in Philippines

Danish wind giant Vestas has informed the Copenhagen Stock Exchange that it has won an 87 MW wind turbine order in the Philippines.

The order from Energy Development Corp. (EDC) is for 29 V90 3-MW turbines, with delivery starting in the last quarter of this year and commissioning of the plant taking place in the second half of 2014, the Aarhus, Denmark-based company said.

The agreement includes a 10-year servicing contract.
