Vestas wins 60 MW wind order in Brazil

Vestas, the Danish wind turbine maker, has recently signed a contract with Atlantic Energias Renovaveis of Brazil to supply wind turbines for Renascenca V (30 MW) and Eurus II (30 MW), according to a report by Energias Renovables.

The wind farms are located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, and are due to become operational in 2013.

The agreement includes the delivery, installation and maintenance of the 30 turbines, with a capacity of 2 MW each, for a period of five years.

The delivery of the equipment will begin in the last three months of 2012, and are expected to be installed in the first quarter of 2013.
