GDF Suez’s subsidiary Tractebel Energia has acquired seven wind farms that are currently under construction.

All the wind farms are being built in the Brazilian state of Bahia, with their total capacity expected to reach 206 MW report Jornal Floripa.

Tractebel acquired the wind projects for $11.6m.

It also has the option to buy other wind farms located in Bahia, which are currently being built and represent a total capacity of 150 MW.
