RWE has started building its biggest onshore German wind farm.
The $90m first phase of the 67 MW Koenigshovener Hoehe project in North Rhine-Westphalia is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year.
The plant will use 21 of Senvion SE’s 3.2 MW turbines, according to a company statement.
In February, RWE sold a 49 per cent stake in the plant to the city of Bedburg.
