The Peruvian government has given ContourGlobal a temporary concession to perform feasibility studies for two wind power plants, Almirante Grau and Cupisnique II, according to media reports.

The Central Wind Almirante Grau will have an estimated installed capacity of 76 MW, while the Central Wind Cupisnique II will have an estimated installed capacity of 148 MW.

The company will have two years to conduct feasibility studies for both projects.

“The concessionaire is obliged to carry out studies in compliance with technical and safety standards, preserving the environment and safeguarding the cultural heritage of the nation,” the legislation states.
