Impsa, an Argentine-based EPC firm, has signed an agreement with Compania Hidroelectrica de San Francisco (CHESF) to build the biggest wind farm in Brazil, according to Noticias Financieras.
The wind farm will be located in the township of Casanova, in the state of Bahia.
The agreement is reported to be worth $360m.
Impsa will provide 120 wind turbines with a capacity of 1.5 MW each and all manufactured by Impsa Wind in the Brazilan state of Pernambuco.
This project represents CHESF first entry into the wind power market.
