Enel Green Power secures supply contracts in Chile

Following a competitive bidding process Enel Green Power has secured energy supply contracts with several distributors operating in Chile’s regulated market.

The contracts cover the provision of up to 4159 GWh, up to 2024 at $128/MWh, according to Revista Eàƒ³lica y del Vehàƒculo Eléctrico.

One new solar power plant and two wind farms, which are scheduled to be operational by 2015, will make a significant contribution to fulfilling these supply agreements via the Central Interconnected System (SIC).

The three projects are estimated to require an investment of $320m.

Enel Green Power has also recently started construction of the 100 MW Dominica I wind farm in Mexico, which once up and running will produce up to 260 GWh per year.
