Brazil’s Grupo Galvao is negotiating the sale of four wind farms to Companhia Paranaense de Energia (Copel). A report by local daily Valor Económico said that the deal could be worth close to $100m.

The wind farms are located on the coast of the Rio Grande do Norte state. , and comprises of 47 wind turbines and a total capacity of 94 MW.

In 2011, Copel acquired a 49.9 per cent stake in the wind farms from Dreen Brasil Investimentos e Participaçoes, a subsidiary of Grupo Galvao.

If this the latest deal succeeds, Copel will own 100 per cent of the wind assets.
