UK feed-in-tariff participants earn $15.6m

Figures released today by Britain’s energy regulator Ofgem reveal that since the introduction of feed-in-tariffs in April 2010 to the end of June this year, there were 45,010 renewable installations registered under the scheme in the UK.

This accounted for 163.5 MW of capacity and resulted in the generators of these installations being due a total of à‚£10.1m ($15.6m) in revenue for feeding back power into the grid.

Of the 45,010 installations, 43,100 were photovoltaic, 1527 wind, 220 hydo, 158 micro-CHP and five were anaerobic digestion.
