Solar power developer SunEdison is set to postpone plans for a collaboration with wind equipment manufacturer Gamesa to develop up to 1000 MW of wind power, intended to be launched in Mexico and India.

The negotiations have not progressed as expected and the project is now frozen, according to sources consulted by El Economista.

SunEdison has seen a strong market depreciation and a drop from nearly $10 billion capitalization to just $822 million in less than a year.

It is understood that the agreement will end in the coming weeks due to the US company’s liquidity problems.
