Danish wind power company Vestas has received an order for turbines with a total capacity of 267 MW from Germany’s EON Climate and Renewables.

The wind farms will be in Sweden and the UK but their exact location is not yet being revealed by EON, said Vestas today.

The deal is for the supply, build and commissioning of the turbines, with installation scheduled for 2013-2014.

Yesterday Vestas revealed it had signed a deal with wind farm developer Dong Energy to build a dedicated offshore turbines designed for harsh weather conditions.

The V164-7.0 MW turbine will be installed at Dong’s demonstration site in Danish waters off Frederikshavn in 2013.
