Senvion appoints National Grid boss as new chairman

The former boss of the UK’s National Grid is the new chairman of wind turbine manufacturer Senvion.

Steve Holliday took up his new role yesterday, replacing Stefan Kowski who stepped down as chairman and retired from the board at the end of May.

Holliday was chief executive of National Grid ” responsible for the UK’s electricity network and also those in the northeast US ” for nearly 10 years and was also a non-executive director of Marks & Spencer for 10 years.à‚ 

Senvion is headquartered in hamburg, Germany, and makes wind turbines with rated outputs of 2 MW to 6.15 MW and rotor diameters of 82 metres to 152 metres.
