Suzlon Energia Eolica do Brasil, a subsidiary of India’s Suzlon Group, a leading wind turbine maker, has won an order from the Servtec Group to install, operate and maintain a 24 MW wind farmin the state of Ceara.

The project is a partnership between Servtec and the Brazilian investment fund manager, Rio Bravo Investimentos, and will comprise 12 of Suzlon’s S95-2 MW wind turbines, the company said in a press release.

The wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned in phases up to December 2013, and is estimated to offset over 43 000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.

This is the second project for Servtec and Suzlon, which already has 155 MW of wind capacity operating across four wind power farms in Ceara.
