Spanish company Iberdrola has increased the installed capacity of its La Ventosa wind farm by 22 MW.

The wind farm now has a capacity of 102 MW, according to the company, following the installation of 11 new wind turbines supplied by Gamesa.

La Ventosa plant, which supplies electricity to 190,000 homes, is located on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, in the southern state of Oaxaca – well-known for its wind condistions.

Iberdola’s current installed renewable energy capacity in Mexico stands at 230 MW.
