Spain’s Gamesa has secured a 105 wind turbine order from Brazil’s Casa dos Ventos for the first phase of its Chapada wind farm.

The wind farm will have an installed capacity of 210 MW following turbine installation, reports Spanish news agency Europa Press.

Under the contract, Gamesa will responsible for the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines.

The first turbines are scheduled to be delivered in early 2015.

According to Games, this latest order further strengthens its position in the Brazilian wind market, where the firm has signed other agreements totaling 1000 MW.
